jonathan burkhalter is a writer, event coordinator, teacher, and editor. they are the author of a chapbook titled, Grief and Other Four-Legged Animals (Bottlecap Press). their work has appeared in Salt Hill Review, Nashville Review, Landfill, No, Dear, and elsewhere. they hold an mfa in poetry from sarah lawrence college. they are passionate about lighting, food that moves us, and the practice of the kitchen table as a gathering place.
